Welcome to Chicago!
Eat, drink, and be merry with your fellow design friends at the Chicago Cultural Center to celebrate the World's Best. The evening will honor the annual Best of News Design awards, with medal winners in digital and print called to the stage — and we'll reveal the World's Best winners.
We will also salute the 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award recipients:
Susan Mango Curtis and Tim Harrower, whose memorable body of work that has influenced decades of designers.
The SND Digital judging has just concluded:

six finalists for World's Best-Designed in Digital. They are:

- The Marshall Project
- The New York Times
- The Pudding
- Reuters
The print judging has also concluded and medal winners have been
announced. National Geographic was awarded Best in Show for digital and print integration for
Katie's New Face. Please see

Capping off the evening will be the presentation of World's Best experiences and publications from the finalists that have been announced.
Speaking of best, we're bringing in
Lost Lake to handle the drinks and food. Lost Lake was recently named the
Best American Cocktail Bar and is on the 2018 list of the
World’s 50 Best Cocktail Bars. It was also one of Esquire’s Best Bars in America (2017).
You do not have to be registered for the Annual Workshop to attend this Best of News Design event. If you are, however, your ticket price is included in your registration.
