Join SND President Paige K. Connor and several special guests to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Society for News Design. The first SND workshop happened in 1979 in Chicago — and SND itself was founded the same year.

Proceeds from this event benefit the SND Foundation, which provides training grants for visual journalists, university-level scholarships, student travel grants to the SND Annual Workshop, grants to the student designers of the year, and outreach to minority journalists and journalism students at universities with diverse enrollments. The SND Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Contributions to the SND Foundation, including the $50 ticket for this event, are generally tax deductible (in the United States) as charitable donations.

This SND Foundation event requires a $50 ticket, which can be purchased in advance or at the door. Your ticket includes cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
