Pitchfork started more than 20 years ago as one of the web’s first blogs, and since has grown into what is now music’s most trusted voice. With over 10 million monthly unique visitors to their website, they also operate
festivals in Chicago and Paris, occasional print publications, a
pop-up radio station, and are a part of the Condé Nast family of publications.
While their editorial staff is based in NYC, the design department continues to find its home in Chicago. Joy Zagar leads the visualization and creative vision of the company’s many endeavors, which have led to countless Webbys, The Society of Publication Design’s Brand of the Year award, a National Magazine Award for digital excellence, a spot on Ad Age’s Creativity 50 list, and AIGA’s Corporate Design Leadership Award.
